Hi, I'm Rachel. And this is Craig — my husband, my business partner, and the boy I've loved since we were kids growing up together in Shropshire. We've been beside each other through most of life's chapters, and four years ago we finally made it official. Today we run Meaningful Charm together, alongside our two very opinionated French bulldogs.
But the story of how we got here? That one's mine to tell.
I didn't set out to start a business. Honestly, at the time, getting through the day felt like enough.
I was going through one of the harder chapters of my life — shaped by depression, anxiety, and the challenges of living with undiagnosed ADHD and RSD. There were days when words didn't come easily, when feelings didn't have anywhere to go. So I started making jewellery. Not to sell. Not with any plan in mind. Simply because putting something beautiful together gave me somewhere to put everything that didn't have a name yet.
I made pieces for friends. For family. Small, considered things that felt personal and true. And the reaction I got stopped me in my tracks every time — not just "oh how lovely", but something deeper. Something that looked like being truly seen.
Craig noticed before I did.
That's where I come in. I'm Craig — and I watched Rachel create the most beautiful things during one of the most difficult periods of her life, and I saw what everyone around her saw: that these pieces were too special not to share. She'd have been happy just making them quietly forever. I wasn't willing to let that happen.
So I said: let's build something. And she said yes.
Together we built Meaningful Charm from the ground up. Rachel is the creative heart — her eye for colour, her instinct for what feels right, her deep understanding of what it means to need something that truly speaks to you. I write the descriptions and poems you'll find throughout the store, photograph every piece, and handle everything from packing to posting to bringing new ideas to life.
It's a true partnership. And that spirit — care, intention, doing things properly and doing them together — goes into every single order that leaves our door.
We don't make mass-produced items. Meaningful Charm was born because we believe the greatest joy in life comes from the look on a loved one's face when they open something that speaks directly to their heart. Our keepsakes are crafted specifically to spark those real, tear-jerking, unforgettable moments of connection.
Because true gifting isn't about the object. It's about the unforgettable joy of watching someone you love realise just how much they mean to you. It's about capturing that raw emotion — the happy tears, the beaming smile, that moment when someone opens something and feels truly seen. Once you experience that reaction, you'll realise it was never about the token. It was always about the moment.
We don't believe crystals are magic. What we do believe is that they're extraordinary gifts from Mother Earth — and that positivity is the most powerful force any of us has access to. With a positive mindset, you really can change your life. The crystal is simply the spark that starts that journey. When you hold one and think about what it represents — calm, courage, love, clarity — something shifts. You begin to choose positivity. And that choice, made quietly and with intention, is where real change begins.
So what can you expect from The Journal going forward?
From Rachel: new designs as they come to life, the thinking behind our aesthetic choices, crystal insights, the warm and meaningful details that make each piece what it is — all the feeling and magic that goes into the creative side of what we do.
From Craig: the guides, the stories, the practical and informative side — helping you understand crystals, gifting, and the world of Meaningful Charm a little more deeply.
And from both of us: honesty, warmth, and a genuine love for what we do.
Welcome to our Meaningful Charm Journal, we're glad you're here.
